It is time to grow up. Not only in terms of application functionality but also in terms of audience and catchment area.
dView has to compete with the most famous and popular image viewers available today.
It is an ambitious and difficult goal to achieve and for this reason it is necessary to add certain features now considered essential and fundamental (must-have), such as support for the most common image formats, used both today and in the past (webp, pcx, tga etc ...), both in reading and writing, support for formats not strictly related to graphics and images (for example html), the ability to create multi-page images in a simple and rapid way, other editing functions and much more.
All this will require an enormous effort on my part both in terms of commitment and work, and in terms of budget, which by the way is very low. Aid in this sense would not hurt.
Starting with version 2, a long path will begin which I hope will lead to the realization of all these goals and perhaps even more.
dView 2.x.x will be much faster, more efficient, stable and... beautiful!
There will be new features both in the UI and code department: toolbar refreshed with a new set of icons, forms redesigned from scratch and optimization of execution, especially for the image loading and drawing phases.
